Ethical Guidelines for Publication

Anusandhanvallari Journal is committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct in the academic publishing process. We adhere to best practices as outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and other relevant authorities in scholarly publishing. This Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement aims to ensure transparency, integrity, and accountability in all aspects of the publishing process.

1. Ethical Principles

Our publication practices are guided by the principles of integrity, transparency, and fairness in all editorial, peer review, and publishing processes. We adhere to the following core principles:

  • Fairness and Impartiality: Manuscripts will be reviewed based solely on their scholarly merit, originality, and relevance to the journal's scope. Decisions will not be influenced by the author’s race, religion, gender, nationality, or institutional affiliation.

  • Confidentiality: All manuscripts and related data are treated as confidential. Authors, reviewers, and editors must not disclose any information related to the submission process.

  • Accountability: Authors, reviewers, and editors must take responsibility for their actions in the publication process. Ethical behavior, adherence to guidelines, and timely communication are essential.

2. Author Responsibilities

Authors must adhere to the following ethical standards when submitting to Anusandhanvallari Journal:

  • Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must submit only original work that has not been published elsewhere or is not under review by other publications. Proper citation of sources must be provided for all ideas, data, and texts that are not the author's own.

  • Ethical Approval: Research involving human subjects, animals, or sensitive data must have received appropriate ethical approval from the relevant ethics committees or institutions. This should be clearly stated in the manuscript.

  • Authorship: Authors must ensure that all individuals who have significantly contributed to the research and manuscript are included as authors. All co-authors should have approved the final version of the manuscript and agreed to its submission.

  • Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial, personal, or professional conflicts of interest that could influence the research process or publication.

  • Data Integrity: Authors should ensure that all data presented is accurate and verifiable. The use of falsified or manipulated data is strictly prohibited.

  • Correcting Errors: If an author becomes aware of any errors or inaccuracies in their published work, they must notify the journal immediately. The journal will then work with the author to issue corrections or retractions if necessary.

3. Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers play a critical role in maintaining the quality and integrity of the journal. They are expected to:

  • Confidentiality: All manuscripts under review are confidential. Reviewers must not share or discuss the manuscript with anyone outside of the peer review process.

  • Objectivity: Reviews should be objective and based on the manuscript's academic merit. Reviewers must refrain from personal bias or conflicts of interest and should evaluate the manuscript impartially.

  • Timeliness: Reviewers should provide timely feedback. If a reviewer is unable to review a manuscript within the designated time, they should inform the editorial team as soon as possible.

  • Constructive Feedback: Reviewers should provide constructive feedback that can help improve the manuscript. Critical but respectful comments are encouraged to help authors enhance the quality of their work.

  • Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to the manuscript. If a conflict is found, the reviewer should recuse themselves from the review process.

4. Editor Responsibilities

The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board are responsible for upholding the ethical integrity of the journal. Their responsibilities include:

  • Decision-Making: Editors are responsible for making the final decision on whether a manuscript is accepted for publication. The decision will be based on the manuscript's academic merit, relevance to the journal’s scope, and feedback from peer reviewers.

  • Fairness and Impartiality: Editors must ensure that all submissions are treated fairly and impartially, without discrimination based on the author’s background or affiliations.

  • Confidentiality: Editors must protect the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and reviewer identities. Manuscripts and associated data should not be shared outside of the editorial and review process.

  • Timeliness: Editors are responsible for managing the peer review process efficiently and ensuring that authors receive timely decisions on their submissions.

  • Conflict of Interest: Editors must disclose any conflicts of interest regarding the manuscripts they handle. If a conflict arises, they should recuse themselves from making decisions related to that manuscript.

  • Ensuring Ethical Guidelines: Editors must ensure that authors and reviewers follow the journal’s ethical guidelines and address any potential issues of misconduct (plagiarism, data manipulation, etc.).

5. Plagiarism and Misconduct

Anusandhanvallari Journal maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism and any form of academic misconduct. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Plagiarism: The submission of work that has been copied or closely paraphrased from other sources without proper acknowledgment.

  • Data Fabrication and Falsification: The submission of false or manipulated data with the intent to deceive.

  • Duplicate Submission: Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently or submitting previously published work without proper acknowledgment.

We use plagiarism detection software to screen all submitted manuscripts. Any manuscript found to contain plagiarized content will be rejected immediately, and the author(s) may be banned from submitting to the journal in the future.

In cases of ethical misconduct identified post-publication, Anusandhanvallari Journal reserves the right to retract the article and issue a formal retraction notice. If necessary, the author’s institution will be notified.

6. Retraction and Correction Policy

If an article is found to have significant errors post-publication, the journal follows a clear policy for correction or retraction:

  • Correction: If minor errors or misstatements are found that do not affect the overall findings or conclusions, a correction or erratum will be published.

  • Retraction: If an article is found to contain serious issues such as plagiarism, data manipulation, or unethical research practices, it may be retracted. A retraction notice will be published along with the reason for retraction.
