Cultivation and Sustainability of Immunity Booster Plants: A Cross-Sectional Study

Abstract
Introduction –Medicinal plants containing beneficial and medicinal properties have been known and used by human beings in some form or other. Medicinal plants have been an integral part in health care in our country, known to be rich repository of medicinal plants and most of the population still use traditional folk medicines obtained from natural resources. The objectives included, to assess the awareness among respondents regarding medicinal plantations in Lucknow district, to examine the attitude of respondents towards medicinal plantations in Lucknow district, and to analyze the association between respondents’ perception of garden scientist availability and government initiatives related to the awareness of medicinal plants.
Methodology-The study included the descriptive research design by adopting stratified sampling. The sample area was selected in residential house located in different zones of the Lucknow district of Uttar Pradesh. The study comprised 400 respondents for data collection through the interview method by a structured questionnaire. A statistical analysis for appropriate results and conclusions has been conducted using open-source statistical software.
Result and conclusion- study findings indicated that respondents are familiar with and planted medicinal plants like Tulsi and Aloe vera. Demographic variables, i.e. education, profession, locality, family structure, and religion play a role in shaping perceptions toward agricultural training. The findings also highlight that locality, family type, and monthly income significantly influence respondents' awareness of government initiatives related to medicinal plants.
