Impact of Educational Technology on Parental Involvement and Stakeholder Engagement in Student Learning: A Multi-Stakeholder Study

Abstract

The integration of technology in education has transformed teaching-learning processes globally, particularly in developing regions like India. In Uttarakhand, the adoption of digital tools, smart classrooms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and mobile-based education platforms has significantly reshaped educational outcomes and stakeholder engagement. This study examines the role of educational technology in Dehradun district with a specific focus on parental involvement and stakeholder perceptions. Using a descriptive and analytical research design, primary data were collected from 200 students, 40 teachers, and 120 parents across selected government and private schools. The study employs Likert-scale based analysis to quantify perceptions and impacts of technology on education. The findings indicate that technology has significantly enhanced parental engagement, improved communication between schools and families, and increased transparency in academic monitoring. However, disparities in access, digital literacy gaps, and infrastructural limitations persist. The study concludes that while technology acts as a catalyst for educational development in Uttarakhand, its full potential can only be realized through inclusive digital policies and capacity-building programs.
