Abstract
This essay is a critical analysis of marketing management systems (MMS) in India which also discusses its history, current state and its future. The increased use of MMS in India is because of its expansive market that is characterized by rapid digital transformation, strong economic growth, and an expanding middle income group. The report traces the evolution of MMS since the old barter-based systems to the state-of-the-art AI-based systems, citing key milestones such as the introduction of e-commerce, the telecommunication revolution, and the IT boom. Notwithstanding noteworthy advancements, problems with data quality, talent gaps, and the digital divide still exist. This article investigates the reasons propelling MMS development in India and its commercial consequences via the use of a descriptive technique. The findings show that despite the possible development of the MMS environment in India, additional innovations are required to address the issue of regional differences and achieve the potential of digital marketing. This critical evaluation sheds on how MSS is gaining significance in India to enhance customer engagement and corporate planning.
